Janet Willhaus, PhD, RN is an associate professor at Boise State University where she is the coordinator of both the Simulation and Learning Labs and the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Simulation program. In 2018, her simulation center earned re-accreditation in Teaching/Education and a new accreditation status in Research. Dr. Willhaus teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate program and she has earned certifications as both a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and a Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS). She was the first Simulation Scholar in Residence for the National League of Nursing (NLN) and she was a faculty member in the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) landmark simulation study. She took part in the NLN High Stakes Testing research initiative and authored simulation cases for the NLN ACES Veterans series. Dr. Willhaus is eager to strengthen INACSL’s reputation as a resource for both novice and experienced simulationists.
