Dr. Suzanne Campbell Ph.D., RN (US/Canada), IBCLC, WHNP, is Associate Professor and previous Director (2012-2017) at the University of British Columbia School of Nursing, Vancouver, Canada. She directed the development of a multi-million dollar simulation resource center, has published book chapters and articles on nursing education, and is co-editor of Simulation Scenarios for Nursing Educators (3rd Ed., 2018), receiving the AJN Book of the Year Award (2nd Edition 2013). An educator for 30+ years she has taught didactic, clinical, and online courses in varied environments and focused on health communication and interprofessional simulations. The past ten years she has shared that expertise with nursing and health care faculty around the globe. Instrument development, especially measurements of health communication, have been her focus the past ten years. Her clinical work is in the area of lactation with underserved populations. She has served on the International Lactation Consultant Associations (ILCA): Research Committee, 2003-2006; Board, Director of Research and Special Projects, 2006-2009; and LEAARC, 2009-2015 and is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International. She is working to promote interprofessional education, research, and practice at UBC, in British Columbia and globally with partners in Canada, the US, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, China, Chile, and Hong Kong.
