There are two types of competencies. University Competencies should be held, in some degree, by all members of the BOD. It is necessary that all potential and current board members have some level of experience with each Universal Competency. Essential Collective Competencies do not need to be held by all members of the BOD. However, each Essential Competency should be held by one or more member of the BODs at any given time. For some positions, such as VP for Finance or VP for Research, particular Essential Collective Competencies are required. You will be asked to speak to your competencies during the interview process. Your supervisor will be asked to complete an assessment of your competencies during the first part of the nominations/application process along with a letter of support.
  • INACSL N&E Committee Competency Self-Assessment: The self-assessment includes one category of Nominations & Elections competencies that are required for members of the INACSL Nominations & Elections Committee (N&E) to possess. The Universal Competencies are held, in some degree, by all members of the board. It is necessary that all potential and current committee members have some level of experience with each universal competency listed. You will be asked to speak to your competencies during the interview process. Your supervisor will be asked to complete an assessment of your competencies during the first part of the nominations/application process.
