Working closely with the Vice President for Programs and Conference Manager the Conference Planning Committee assists with planning of the annual conference, specifically the abstract review process.
Comprised of several sub-committees focusing on different educational areas and reporting to the Vice President of Programs. Specific sub-committees are Educational Webinars, HomeGrown Solutions, and Nurse Planners Sub-Committees.
Providing added benefits to INACSL members with oversight from the Vice President of Membership. The committee reviews submissions for the Anthony Battaglia Conference Scholarships, oversees annual membership awards, conducts quarterly virtual leadership book club sessions and reaches out to members and non-members through different activities during the annual conference.
Working with direction from the Vice President for Outreach this committee assists with enhancing social media communications, maintenance of website content and the SSH-INACSL Regional Simulation Workshops.
Working closely with the Vice President for Finance members of this committee learn to understand financial statements, budgeting, investments, the importance behind sound financial policies.
This committee supports INACSL membership by fostering diversity, inclusivity, acceptance, and equity within INACSL and the healthcare simulation community to impact the profession and society. Additionally, this committee provides resources that promote respect for diversity including but not limited to age, culture, disability, ethnicity, gender, nationality, race, religion, sexuality, socioeconomic status, and individual diversity of perspective.
Under the leadership of the Vice President of Operations members of this committee enhance the structure and function of the organization by providing guidance to committees when a new policy or procedure is needed. Additionally, members of the this committee periodically review and update the bylaws of the organization.
Focusing on benefits for INACSL's international members this committee works closely with the Vice President for International Affairs. The committee, consisting mostly of international leaders members explores opportunities for international expansion, develops ideas for sharing the INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation international and considers different international projects for INACSL.
Working with direction from the BOD, this committee will be responsible for the oversight of ethical, impartial, transparent, and fair nominations and elections processes. Members of this committee are elected into position annually.
Under the leadership of the Vice President for Outreach committee members maintains regular contact with like-minded simulation organizations to facilitate a closer relationship and enhance collaborations between organizations.
With direction from the Vice President of Outreach this committee collects and maintains information on regulations affecting healthcare simulation worldwide. During the first year the committee will focus on collecting initial information to share with members/non-members on the INACSL website.
Striving to advance the science of simulation with leadership from the Vice President of Research. The committee reviews submissions for the Debra Spunt Research Grants, provides faculty for the Research Fellowship Program, oversees poster awards, profession round sessions and criteria for abstract review at the annual conference.
As the science of simulation continues to evolve, so does the need for revisions to the INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation and the development of new standards. The Board of Directors continues to oversee the Standards Committee and supports the membership selection process.
