Financial Oversight Committee


The purpose of the Financial Oversight Committee is to support the INACSL membership by:

  • providing additional oversight to ensure the financial health of the organization
  • expanding the organizations capacity to offer grants and scholarship opportunities


  • Maintain confidentiality about deliberations on committee work
  • Execute the responsibilities and annual charge(s) of the committee to fulfil the committee’s purpose and the association’s strategic plan
  • Oversee the financial health of the organization to include investments, reserves, and budgeting
  • Annually, review and make recommendations on the budget
  • Annually, review and make recommendations regarding the organizations investment strategy
  • Periodically review the financials for the organization and provide feedback
  • As needed, review financial policies (such as investment and reserve policies) and provide feedback
  • Members of any committee shall receive no fee, salary, or remuneration of any kind for service.  Committee members will be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred with board approval upon submission of proper documentation

Terms of Office

  • 4 Members at large (minimum)
  • Term = Two Years
  • Membesr may serve a total of two terms (total of 4 years on committee)
  • Members may serve on a total of two committees concurrently

Time Commitment

  • Attend minimum of six virtual committee meetings annually
  • Commitment varies with involvement in sub-committees and committee tasks
  • Approximately 1-2 hours per month
