Conference

Abstracts for the INACSL conferences are typically accepted during October of the preceding year, although the exact dates may vary. Detailed information will be available by selecting the conference and year information from the Education drop down menu on the INACSL home page.

The INACSL conference web page may be accessed by selecting the conference and year information from the Education drop down menu on the INACSL home page. Registration options, fees, and deadlines will be listed on that page when they are available.

Costs vary from year to year. There are options available for virtual or in-person participation. When information for the next event is available, it will be posted on the conference page. You can access that page by selecting the conference and year information from the Education drop down menu on the INACSL home page.

Information about future INACSL conferences can be found by selecting the “Future Conferences” listing under the Education drop down menu.

Most years, authors who submitted an abstract will learn if their abstract has been selected for presentation by the end of January the year of the conference. Please do not reach out to INACSL to inquire about the status of your abstract unless you have not received information in January. Please also revisit the submission site, which may have more up-to-date information on when you will be notified.

HomeGrown Solutions

HomeGrown Solutions (HGS) are:

  • Ideas created to address tricky issues in simulation
  • Comprised of self-made items
  • Creative adaptations to existing items
  • Simulation recipes
  • Ideas that add to the suspension of disbelief in simulation

HGS was officially formed in 2014, as a partnership between the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) and the National League for Nursing (NLN).

The INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation

Yes, if you consult the INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation© in the creation of your work, you can and should cite them. Correct citation information can be found HERE on our website.

Below are complete instructions for individuals that want to request copyright permission to republish the Standards of Best Practice (SOBP). You will need to make the request through the Clinical Simulation in Nursing Journal site with Elsevier.

NOTE: As you will see below, we prefer and strongly recommend that instead of requesting copyright permission that you link to the actual articles on the website so you have the most up to date information and are informed of those updates when they occur. We want to encourage this instead of requesting copyright access to reprint.

  1. Find the desired article, such as “INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation℠: Operations,” on journal site at https://www.nursingsimulation.org/. Click on the Request Permissions link to the right:

Membership

Only Primary group Members may add additional institutional members.

  1. Log in to your INACSL account.
  2. Click on the Members Only Tab, Members Only Dashboard. You will then click on Update My Profile.

  3. On the Update My Profile tab you will see Organization Profile on the right side of the screen. Click on Organization Profile and on the next screen you will be able to add additional members.

  4. Click on the Individuals tab to add additional members and or remove current members.

  6. If you do not currently have 4 members on your Institutional Membership you will see a screen like the one below. This means there is no payment due to add the additional member.

    If you do have a minimum of 4 members on your Institutional Membership you will see a screen like the one below. This means there is a payment due to add the additional member. Payment online can only be in the form of a credit card. All other forms of payment will have to contact the INACSL office at inacslinfo@inacsl.org.

  7. Fill in all areas. Be sure to click on Next to save and move onto the next screen.

  8. The system will automatically assign a username which is the new member’s email address. You will need to assign them a password and confirm. Be sure to click on next to save and proceed.

  9. Press Submit to finish adding your new member if you did not previously have the minimum 4 members.

  10. If you already had at least 4 members and are adding additional, enter your payment method and press submit

Should you have any issues with adding additional members please email inacslinfo@inacsl.org with a request for changes.

  2. Click on the Members Only Tab, Members Only Dashboard. You will then click on Update My Profile.

  3. On the Update My Profile tab you will see your name on the blue bar, directly under that is your Member Number.

  3. You will be taken back to the Homepage. From there click on Renew at the top or Membership, Members Only Dashboard. You will be able to renew from both areas.

  4. The next screen will allow you to submit payment for your membership.

  3. On the Update My Profile tab you will see Edit Profile on the blue bar on the right side of the screen. On the next screen you will be able to edit your title, organization, email and spelling of your name. Be sure to click “Update Profile” when finished editing.

  4. Click on the “Custom” tab beside Contact Info to update your credentials, area of practice, certificates held and the type of correspondence you wish to receive from INACSL. Be sure to click on “Update” when finished.

  5. Under the “Settings” tab you can opt in to share your information with other members.

Technical Issues

All INACSL Office emails are sent through the inacslinfo@inacsl.org email address. If you are not receiving emails from this address, it is likely the messages are being caught in your spam filter. Add inacslinfo@inacsl.orgto your safelist to ensure you receive all email messages from the INACSL Office.
