The Edson College of Nursing & Health Innovation is seeking a full-time, non-continuing academic professional to teach in Simulation & Learning Resources across all levels and programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include facilitation of experiential learning.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current unencumbered RN license or multi-state privilege to practice registered nursing in Arizona. Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing. Three years of recent experience as a R.N. providing direct patient care. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate degree with a major in nursing or health related field. Prior experience as a nurse educator in an academic or practice setting. Experience in a fast paced, team environment that demonstrates problems solving and flexibility. Demonstrates outstanding written and verbal communication. Experience in mediated environment with human patient simulators. Experience with standardized patient programs Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Certification as Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE Essential Duties). Effectively communicates with the team members in a professional and timely manner. Provides demonstrations, technical instruction assistance, and remediation to students in a variety of experiential environments and activities. Facilitates and evaluates the process of experiential learning. Evaluates student performance. Collaborates to formulate procedures and protocols for experiential learning. Organizes and runs simulations utilizing resources as needed and technology equipment to provide a positive and safe learning environment. Creates, organizes, and oversees innovative experiential learning environments. Facilitates integration of new technology, materials, and teaching strategies to enhance student learning and instruction within a reality based laboratory and simulation environment. Participates in data collection. Complies with accreditation and regulatory standards. Coordinates and prioritizes work. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.
