If so, we invite you to consider an exciting leadership opportunity with the University Of Southern Maine’s College of Science, Technology & Health as the Director of Healthcare Simulation and Interprofessional Education.


This position is responsible for the overall operations of healthcare students’ simulation and skills labs and includes budgetary oversight and supervision of technical support staff. Additionally, this is the inaugural Director for our new state of the art Boyne Family Advanced Simulation Center. In this position you will advance the use and implementation of simulation and skills labs for healthcare faculty and students. You will join a team of faculty and staff coordinators in the School of Nursing along with faculty within the Departments of Linguistics, Public Health, Occupational Therapy, Athletic Training and other interprofessional academic units.


In this role, the Director will have the opportunity to lead simulation education and create efficiency within the operation of healthcare simulation programs to sustain a positive student, faculty, and staff experience. Additionally, the position will collaborate with internal and external individuals and teams to support our University mission that embraces academic freedom for students, faculty, and staff, and advocate diversity in all aspects of campus life and academic work to support sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and community belonging.
