JOB DESCRIPTION: The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing announces a national search for a senior faculty member to serve as Director of Simulation-based Learning and invites nominations, applications, and expressions of interest. We are renovating 70,000 square feet in Decatur to become the new Emory Nursing Learning Center. The $20.6M expansion project will include state-of-the-art innovation hub, simulation, and skills labs for experiential and immersive learning. The Emory Nursing Learning Center will also house the Emory Nursing Experience, our continuing professional education program in partnership with Emory Healthcare. REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience leading an academic practice in simulation-based learning. National leader and program of scholarship in simulation-based learning. Graduate degree in nursing, and terminal Doctoral degree, (PhD, EdD, DNP) required. Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural competencies in order to interact with a wide range of individuals, including staff at all levels, faculty and administrators. Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Experience using quantitative and/or qualitative data to assess initiatives and inform decision-making. Eligible for appointment to the faculty of the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing.
