Definition of Simulation: "A care setting utilizing human simulation experience to create realistic, life-like scenarios where students engage in the practice of nursing skills and theory for the purpose of teaching and evaluating students. All simulation experiences shall be under the direction of licensed nursing Faculty qualified to oversee and evaluate the outcomes of the simulation experience for the student. The Faculty qualifications shall be documented in a manner approved by the Board.”
Simulation Educator Requirements: Faculty instructors in the CSE environment shall have documented simulation training and or mentorship from: (1) qualified vendor or training, (2) formal education in an approved education program, and/or other qualified training program.
