INACSL is dedicated to providing the necessary tools and educational resources to aid in your path to professional development and to demonstrate excellence across all ten Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice®. That being said, the Cornerstones of Best Practice program creates a new way to learn about the four cornerstones of high-quality simulation — Prebriefing, Facilitation, Professional Integrity, and Debriefing — with more flexible, independent, participant-driven educational course modules that you can complete online on your own schedule.

The Cornerstones can be purchased as a four-course bundle or purchased individually to customize your learning experience to meet your professional development goals right from the comfort of your home. This program serves as an alternative learning environment for simulationists who are unable to commit to a long-term course format or who want to customize their Healthcare Simulation Standards learning plan.

Continuing Nursing Education Credit (CNE)

Upon completion of the Cornerstones of Best Practice course, participants can earn up to 4 continuing nursing education (CNE) credits with purchase of full package or 1 continuing nursing education (CNE) credit with purchase of individual modules. This has been determined based on a credit pilot study conducted with participants in the program.

  The International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
